Instruction is given according to CDE guidelines. Keeping the student engaged will keep the instruction hours to a minimum.

Sample Training Costs

Original Classroom - School Bus or SPAB

$95.00 per hour up to 5 Students

Minimum 35 -40 hours for successful completion

Renewal Classroom

$95 per hour up to 5 certified drivers

A minimum of 10 hours is required for each training period. (Annual)


BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING  - ONE ON ONE WITH INSTRUCTOR CAN BE ARRANGED WITH COMPANY VEHICLE - $100.00 per hour*

Red Cross Certified First Aid

If written first aid test waived at CHP Driver must posses a valid First Aid card at all times during certificate validity

First Aid Classes

$100 per hour Plus Certificate cost ***four hour class

School bus drivers are required to possess a valid Standard First Aid Certification if not already waived by the CHP. Class duration ranges from four to five hours in length. Certificate of Completion will be issued by American Red Cross and valid for two years.

- Custom Large Class Renewal Driver Inservice -

Drivers or employer decide the topic to be presented

3 - 5 hours documented inservice available

$95 per hour for up to 8 drivers.*

* Additional charges may apply for travel time and documentation time
